It is with great sadness and regret that the Renner family announces the passing of Kelly Lynne Renner on July 6th, 2022.
Kelly is predeceased by her grandparents (Frank and Ada Evans) and her parents (Tim and Mary Renner). She is survived by her younger brother (Mike), niece and nephew (Alyssa and Steven), and the light of her life, her ‘fur baby’ (Bowie) who since Kelly’s passing has been rehomed in Saskatchewan.
She was born in Moose Jaw, SK and as the daughter of a military dad, she moved to various postings including in Ontario and Germany. At the end of the day, Moose Jaw was always considered home base for her and her family. In her younger years, she took part in a student exchange program where she spent some time in Ste. Foy, Quebec. Later in her academic career, she attended Université Laval to become a translator. In Saskatchewan, Kelly worked briefly with the RCMP, at the Miller-Thompson Law Group, and at the base in Moose Jaw. Kelly created an everlasting presence at the 15 Wing Base where she bartended before returning to Quebec to work with Group Desjardins and finally with Industrial Alliance.
She was an avid military fiction fan, especially when it came to anything written by Tom Clancy and for a long period of her life, she wanted to be a helicopter pilot. When she wanted something, she did what she could to get it. When her friends or family needed help, she was often the first person to pipe up and lend a hand. When it came to her small family, she was fiercely dedicated. Kelly will be remembered for her length phone calls home to Saskatchewan, all the adventures she enjoyed in her life, and the impact she had on anyone she knew.
