Investigation underway after lockdown of Dryden schools

The Dryden OPP is asking for the public’s help with any information related to a suspicious group of individuals with a suspicious object in the Parkdale Road area on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers were alerted to the group around 1:20 p.m. on October 12, and to ensure the safety of the surrounding area, St. Joseph, Open Roads and Dryden High School were all locked down.

Officers attended the scene to conduct a search of the area, but came up short. The lockdown was lifted roughly one hour later, following the search.
