Alfred Lloyd “Wayne” Seidle
January 20, 1953 – October 20, 2022
The peaceful passing of Wayne Seidle of Humboldt, Saskatchewan, occurred at his residence on Thursday, October 20, 2022, in the presence of his beloved family. He was 69 years of age. Wayne was born to Joseph and Emilia (née Mackovic) Seidle on Tuesday, January 20, 1953, in North Battleford, SK. He was the 8th of 10 siblings. Wayne grew up on a farm near Medstead, SK, before moving to Saskatoon, SK, to attend the University of Saskatchewan. He convocated with a Law Degree in 1979. In 1981, Wayne moved to Canora, SK, to open his law practice, where he fell in love with the pretty little girl at the town office, Rona Gabel. Wayne and Rona were married on September 3, 1983. They had two daughters, Amie, and Sarah, who were Wayne’s pride and joy. They were raised as strong, independent women … much to their husbands’ delight. Wayne enjoyed curling, golfing, fishing, and pulling his daughters - and then his grandkids - behind the boat at Madge Lake. In December 2016, he retired and began filling his spare time with various woodworking projects, and cheering on his favorite ball team, the Toronto Blue Jays. Wayne is remembered by his wife, Rona (née Gabel) Seidle; their two daughters: Amie (Curt), and Sarah (Adam); five grandchildren: Aspen, Emily, Kaden, Emma, and Everett; six siblings: Sylvia, Maryan, Trish, Jim, Gerry (Theresa), Connie (Diane), and Sandi; as well as many nieces and nephews. The Celebration of Life was held at Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel, Humboldt, SK, on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Fr. Colin Roy.
