Joshua Crone
November 12, 1984 – October 24, 2022

Joshua Gregory Crone was born on November 12, 1984, in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. He was ten days overdue. His heart rate dropped, and he was in distress, so he was delivered by emergency cesarean. This little boy loved to sleep right from the get-go. He was so good and would sleep for seven hours without waking. His mom would have to go check on him to make sure he was still breathing. He loved to sing, dance, snowboard, fish, camp, hunt, make electrical inventions, draw and woodwork. The first year he went to school he would fall asleep on the bus and the bus driver had to carry him off, and he used to fall asleep in school in his later years. After Grade 12, he apprenticed with Hergott Electric in Humboldt and took his journeyman’s electrical courses in Moose Jaw, SK. Joshua worked at Lanigan Potash Corporation as a Journeyman Electrician and lived in Humboldt. At this time, he married Christina Boobyer and they had a precious daughter Rosalind Eva Pauline Crone. Joshua loved Rosalind more than words can describe, and she loved her daddy unconditionally. He took paternity leave to be with her and Christina went back to work. In October of 2018, he moved to Hanley, SK to be closer to her. Two days after his move, on his way to work he lost control of his Sunfire due to the very poor, rutty, rough roads. He rolled his vehicle, and it landed on the roof. After he dug his way out of the snow, and was walking away, he fell into a deep ditch dug by the RM, (within the ditch where he had rolled his vehicle) and he injured his knee. In 2020, Joshua moved to Melfort with his mom as he was having difficulties in Hanley. The two of them spent COVID in isolation together, both contracting the virus in 2021 and despite poor prognosis, they both survived. He was convinced to get vaccinated as he required it for work. One week later he went into full blown diabetic shock, he had to be revived but had nearly died. Even after this, he was advised by doctors to get the second shot, incredibly. In Spring 2022 he moved back to Hanley and started work at Lanigan Potash Corporation once again. Then the miracle occurred; he met the love of his life, Primrose Madhovi. This woman made him the happiest man on the face of the earth, and she loved him like no woman has ever loved a man. Her love, support, gentleness, and kindness were angelic. He was happier than he had ever been in his life. They had planned to marry and have children. Rosalind had the idea of Joshua proposing to Primrose at the top of the Eiffel Tower on a family trip. They also planned a trip to Edmonton for Rosalind’s birthday in November and a possible trip to the Philippines. Joshua passed suddenly in his sleep on October 24, 2022, sadly, on his sister’s birthday. He came into this world happy and tired, and left this world happy and tired, which gives everyone comfort. Joshua will be remembered and greatly missed by: daughter Rosalind Crone; fiancé Primrose Madhovi and his dog Aspen, and her cat Chi Chi; mother Jennifer Crone, and her special friend Luca Burlotti; brother Brandon (Olivia) Crone and their family Breanna Kjos, Holden and Lexi Crone; sister Gillisa Crone (Shane Paschke) and their family Wyatt, Katie and William “Billy”; grandmother Josephine Crone; aunts and uncles: Eilleen Crone, Kevin (Yvonne) Crone and family, Sandra (Maurice) Draude and family, Richard (Anne) Langen and family, James (Avril) Langen and family, Greg (Barbara) Langen and family; and many other family and friends. He was predeceased by: father Jeff Crone; sibling (in infancy) Bobbie Stevie Crone; nephew Roudy Bourque; paternal grandfather Paul Crone; maternal grandparents Robert (Pauline) Langen; uncle Steven Langen; cousin Andrew Langen; and many more distant relatives. A Public Visitation for Joshua began at 9:00 a.m., followed by the Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, November 4, 2022, in Humboldt, Saskatchewan at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall. During the Public Visitation the family had a memorial slide show of pictures of Joshua’s life and music playing. Mother of Joshua, Jennifer Crone led the service with The Serenity Prayer, and the Our Father, and she presented the Eulogy. In between these prayers and reflections, Gillisa Crone recited the Twelve Steps of Alcoholic Anonymous, Maurice Draude presented the Daily Reading, and Primrose Madhovi and Jim Langen (on behalf of Greg Langen) offered Words of Remembrance. The pallbearers were: Bob Langen, Juliana Langen, David Langen, Tim Langen, Amy Langen, Chris Crone, Charlene Choboter and Shane Paschke. Special songs included: “Go Rest High on that Mountain,” by Vince Gill, “The Dance,” by Garth Brooks, “Happy,” by Pharell Williams, and a recording of Joshua himself singing, “I Believe I Can Fly,” by JayCrone of StarMaker Karaoke. Fellowship and a memorial luncheon followed for all those gathered. Memorial donations may be directed to Alcoholics Anonymous, Saskatoon and District Central Office, (515, 245 – 3rd Ave. South, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1M4).
