St. Thomas Aquinas Saint, Colby Wallace, is back home after competing at the OFSAA Cross Country Championships.
Wallace finished the 6-kilometre race with a time of 24 minutes and 33 seconds. The first and second-place finishers finished with 19 minutes and 7 seconds, but places were determined by 29 milliseconds - a first in OFSAA Cross Country history.
Overall Wallace says it was a great experience, especially in his Grade 12 year at TA.
The Kenora Under 18 AAA Thistles had a tough weekend as they couldn't come out with a win.
They hosted the Bruins at the Rec Centre on Friday, but ultimately fell 6-1. They then headed to Winnipeg to visit the Trashers, but still came up short 5-3.
The Thistles will next play at home on Wednesday, where they will once again welcome the Bruins.
The first game between the Dryden GM Ice Dogs and the brand-new Sioux Lookout Bombers was victorious for Sioux Lookout. They doubled up 4-2 over the Ice Dogs on Friday night.

CFL's East and West finals are Sunday - and now they know who they'll be facing.
The Argos will play the Montreal Alouettes, who beat the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 28-17 yesterday, while the two-time defending champion Blue Bombers will face the B-C Lions, who beat the Calgary Stampeders 30-16 yesterday.

The announcement was made yesterday after members of the Bruins spoke out against the organization signing Miller, who had recently had his draft pick revoked by the Coyotes after news came out of Miller bullying a disabled teen in his youth.
