Remembrance Day services are scheduled throughout Northwestern Ontario tomorrow morning.
The Remembrance Day Service in Dryden begins with assembly at the Legion Hall and march to the Cenotaph, with laying of the wreaths and return to the Legion for a light lunch.
In Kenora, the ceremony takes place upstairs at Legion Branch 12 at 10:30am. Weather permitting, wreaths will be placed in front of the cairn, followed by a parade to the Cenotaph to lay wreaths in benediction and blessing. Residents are welcome to the club room following the service to share stories and purchase a bowl of chili.
Sioux Lookout services take place at the Legion with doors opening at 10:30am and the ceremony starting at 10:55am. There will be a memorial at the Cenotaph, followed by a ceremony upstairs at the Legion.
In Vermilion Bay, residents are invited to the Cenotaph on Spruce Street for a Remembrance Day service at 11:00am.
In Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls, there will be a public ceremony at the Sioux Narrows Community Hall hosted by Sioux Narrows Public School. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and all are welcome.
