It was a night of celebration Wednesday in Winkler. For the first time in three years, the Winkler and District Chamber of Commerce was able to host the P.W. Enns Business Awards Gala in person. It is also the first time the event was held at the Meridian Exhibition Centre.

In addition to the award recipients and a full auditorium of guests, numerous dignitaries were also on hand, including Chuck Davidson - the President of the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, Morden-Winkler MLA Cameron Friesen, and Portage-Lisgar MP Candice Bergen.

The night also featured Canadian musician, singer, and songwriter Steven Page as the guest speaker. 

Steven Page shared with the evening's guests his personal life story dealing with mental health issues over many years. Page shared his story through both story and song.

Outgoing Mayor Martin Harder was recognized by the Winkler Chamber during Wednesday's Gala as well. The Chamber recognized Harder for his tireless contributions to the city, and region as a whole over the past 16 years. As well as his commitment to partnering with the Chamber to further business interests in the community. Harder received the Leadership Excellence Award.
