It's time for NorWOSSA 'AA' playoff action. Sioux Lookout and Pelican Falls are playing host to four divisions in a jam-packed day.
The Junior Boys' Volleyball Semi-Final will see the Warriors and Fort Frances Muskies battle it out. The winner will go to the final to take on the Beaver Brae Broncos. For the Senior Boys, it will be Fort and Beaver Brae with the winner going on to Sioux North.
For Junior Girls' basketball, it will be the Warriors and the Eagles with the winner on to the final against the Muskies. And Beaver Brae and Fort Frances will play to see who will compete against Dryden in the finals.
The playoffs were originally scheduled for Friday, but due to the first major snowfall of the year, organizers decided, for the safety of everyone, it was best to postpone to this week.
In the NHL, the Toronto Maple Leafs visit Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins. The struggling Penguins have just two wins in their last 10 games.
Also tonight, the Vancouver Canucks look to halt a three-game losing skid in Buffalo, and the surging Montreal Canadiens search for their fourth straight win as they host New Jersey.
