UPDATE - The Highway has reopened between Ignace and Thunder Bay, as well as between Dryden and Ignace. Residents are reminded to drive with extreme caution.
Highway 17 remains closed from Dryden east to Thunder Bay (Shabaqua Corner) following an early morning incident.
Ontario511 reports that a collision occurred around 12:30 am. Reports say that the highway is blocked off near the Tim Hortons and Walmart in Dryden.
The road later reopened between Ignace and Thunder Bay, and reopened between Dryden and Ignace around 10:30 a.m.
No word on injuries at this point. We have requested more information from the OPP.
