The Kenora Under 18 AAA Thistles are on the road today for their final game of 2022. They'll be in Winnipeg to take on the Thrashers.

Kenora's looking for a third straight win as they're coming off a 6-4 victory over the Bruins and 7-5 final over the Wild. They'll take a break after tonight and return to the Kenora Rec Centre to host the Yellowhead Chiefs for a two-game series.

Kyle Connor scored twice and added an assist as the Winnipeg Jets defeated the visiting Ottawa Senators 5-1 on Tuesday. Connor and defenceman Josh Morrissey, who had a goal and assist, both extended their point streaks to 10 games.

The Montreal Canadiens will look to win their second straight game when they play the Colorado Avalanche in Denver, while the Edmonton Oilers will try to snap a three-game losing skid when they head to Dallas to face the Stars.

And defending champion Canada will open the world junior men's hockey championship on Boxing Day with a game against Czechia in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Today in Moncton, New Brunswick, the Canadians play Slovakia in their second pre-tournament exhibition game.

Canada beat Switzerland 6-0 on Monday and will face Finland on Friday in Halifax for the final tune-up contest before the world tourney starts.
