One charged after New Year's Eve drug bust in Altona

A 25-year-old Altona man has been charged with numerous drug-related offences following a bust on New Year’s Eve.

With the help of the Regional Support Tactical Unit, the Altona Police Service executed a narcotics warrant at an apartment suite Saturday on 2nd St. Sw in Altona. The tenant, the 25-year-old, was home at the time and was arrested for trafficking of a controlled substance.

During a search of the suite, police say they discovered a substantial quantity of various drugs.

The tenant has also been charged with offences related to breaching a current probation order.

According to the Altona Police Service, investigation continues with further charges anticipated.
