Meantime, a snowmobiler got a refresher last week on Winkler's bylaw regarding snowmobile use within city limits. 23
The crash course from Winkler police officers came after two snowmobiles were reported to have travelled across the grounds of Emerado Centennial School during school hours on three occasions that week. According to the staff person who reported the incidents, at least one of those times happened when children were outside of recess.
Police were able to locate one of the people responsible and advised him that the City's bylaw does not allow for riding on parks or school property. He was advised to pass this information on to his friends.
