Robyn Silvernagle and Team Saskatchewan picked up their second victory at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts with a 13-4 win over Brigitte MacPhail and Team Nunavut on Wednesday in Kamloops, BC.
With the game tied 1-1 after three ends, Silvernagle scored three in the fourth end to go up 4-1, but MacPhail picked up two of her own in the fifth to cut the deficit to 5-3 at the break. Saskatchewan would start to pull away with a deuce in the sixth end, and after forcing Nunavut to a single in the seventh, Silvernagle made a last-rock draw to score a rare seven-ender in the eighth end to put the game away.
Saskatchewan improved to 2-5 but are adrift in the Pool A standings heading into their final game of the event on Thursday morning against Suzanne Birt and Prince Edward Island, who have also been eliminated from playoff contention.
