Long term strategic plan in the works for Altona

New and old ideas are on the table as councilors and administrators for the Town of Altona meet to develop a new five-to-ten-year strategic plan for the community.
    
Mayor Harv Schroeder says he last participated in such an exercise about four years ago when he was a rookie councilor.

"I know a lot of those projects have been moving forward, but it all takes time. So, we felt that instead of starting a new plan, we should reflect on where we have been and see if there was anything left out or that we didn't get to, and if that's part of what this new Council wants to continue. There will be new ideas as well."

The group is currently reviewing the previous strategic plan.
