Carsyn Dyck scored with 40 seconds left in regulation to lift the Warman Wildcats to a 2-1 win over the Swift Current Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires in the fifth and deciding game of their SMAAAHL first-round playoff series on Saturday at InnovationPlex.

Jace Egland opened the scoring for the Legionnaires at 12:56 of the first period. After a scoreless middle frame, Jeter Korte tied the game up for Warman with a shorthanded goal at 7:13 of the third period. Dyck's late game-winner clinched the series for the Wildcats, who came back from down two games to none to take the best-of-five set 3-2.

Berney Weston made 37 saves for the Legionnaires, who finishes the season with an overall record of 27-18-4. Rookie forward Cobe Perlinger wrapped up the team scoring title with 22 goals and 50 points over 49 regular season and playoff games, followed by his twin brother Cam with 14 goals and 47 points. Weston posted a 22-11-2 record over 37 regular season and playoff games, finishing with a goals against average of 2.91 and a save percentage of .909.

The Wildcats, meanwhile, will advance to the SMAAAHL semi-final where they'll face the #1 seeded Saskatoon Blazers. The Saskatoon Contacts and Regina Pat-Canadians will square off in the other semi-final.
