Michael Murray Schenn
November 26, 1962 - March 13, 2023

Mike (Shakey) was born to John and Anita (née Berger) Schenn at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, in Humboldt, Saskatchewan on November 26, 1962. He grew up in Humboldt, attended Humboldt Collegiate Institute, and worked in the family business until 1993, when he opened Prairie Pure Drinking Water. Well known as a dedicated business owner, he sold his business in July 2020. Mike enjoyed traveling, especially the trips to Pebble Beach, CA, Italy, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, New York, and of course the trips to Mexico with his family. He could not wait to golf with the guys in Vegas each year, but “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” Mike was a sport enthusiast, an avid golfer, and a die-hard Oilers fan. Blessed with a quick wit, an infectious laugh and a generous nature, Mike had a profound sense of humor and could visit with anyone, and he always had time to tell a story. Mike’s friends were his family, but his children and grandchildren were his heart and soul. He genuinely loved his life. Mike will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Keryn (née Tameling), their two children, and five grandchildren: Robyn (Dallas) Koski and sons Drayson and Ethan of Moose Jaw, SK, and Andy (Ashtyn) Schenn and sons Berkley and Olsyn and daughter Lyndie of Summerland, BC; his father, John (Deloris); three brothers: Gary (Shauna) of Saskatoon, SK, and son Chris (Jackie) Schenn (children Addison and Brynn) of Lloydminster, AB; David (Dianne) of Humboldt, SK (son Alex) of Saskatoon, SK; and Mark, sons Rayden and Drake, and daughter Katanna of Red Deer, AB; one sister: Shannon (Howard) Lamont and son Carter (Rebecca) Lamont (children Slade and Anders) all of Lanigan, SK; mother-in-law, Renee Tameling of Penticton, BC; sister-in-law: Cheryl (Mike) Hall of Lloydminster, SK, and their children: Adam (Patricia) Hall (children Charlotte, Madeline and Elizabeth) of Red Deer, AB and Braden (Shantel) Hall (children Ryder, Hudson and Kacey) of Cold Lake, AB, and Tom (Destiny) Hall of Lloydminster, AB.; brothers-in-law: Brent (Kathy) Tameling and their children Jenny (Andy) Niemoller (children Lars, Pia and Frida) and Mathias (Tesha) Tameling (children Millie, Chloe and Olivia); Brian (Carrie) Tameling and their children Devon and Ashley (Matt), all from Summerland BC; and Kevin (Bonnie) Tameling children Diem and Dea) of Peachland, BC; Mike was predeceased by his mother, Anita; father-in-law, William (Bill) Tameling; grandson, Tristan William (in infancy); cousin Clark Tameling; maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends. The Prayer Service for Mike was held at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, Humboldt, SK, on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 7:30 p.m., presided over by Deacon Mike Hall and scripture reader was Carter Lamont.
