The Border Land School Division (BLSD) has announced the appointment of a new Principal for Emerson School.
    
Ms. Leanna DoigGray, who has been an educator since 2006, will fill the permanent role beginning in September.

Having taught in Altona, as well as in Washington and Nebraska, DoigGray has been an educator since 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Education and Post- Baccalaureate from the University of Manitoba and a Master’s Degree from Concordia University.

In a Statement from BLSD, DoigGray said she believes that the foundation for all leadership resides in relationships, adding she's passionate about community building and she looks forward to continuing to grow the relationships between the school and the broader community. She said she looks forward to supporting the staff and the students in teaching, learning, and in particular focusing on their mental health and wellbeing. 

The Border Land School Division says it looks forward to its continued work with DoigGray as the teaching Principal at Emerson School.
