The pride of Bruderheim didn't quite have the golden weekend she anticipated.
Emerance Maschmeyer added to their rapidly growing medal count as she settled for a silver medal while playing with Team Canada at the 2023 IIHF World Women's Hockey Championship.
The medal came courtesy of a 6-3 loss to Team USA at Sunday (Apr. 16) night's gold medal game that came down to the final minutes.
Maschmeyer didn't see action in the gold medal game. Despite that, she delivered when she got the chance to play in the tournament.
Her first appearance came on April 8 with a 5-0 shut-out victory over Japan, turning aside all 11 shots she faced. Maschmeyer then got the nod for Canada's quarter-final matchup against Sweden, to which Canada won 3-2 in overtime.
Maschmeyer has had quite an impressive few years, winning gold medals at the 2022 World Championships and the 2022 Winter Olympics.
