A 46-year-old woman was arrested on Friday following a traffic stop by Morden police.
According to police, officers found the woman, who was driving the pulled-over vehicle, to be on an undertaking to not possess a cell phone. The subsequent investigation also revealed a quantity of crystal meth in the car.
The woman was arrested for failing to Comply with Undertaking and Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine. She was released on an Undertaking to attend to Morden Provincial Court in July.
Meantime, the police service is investigating a series of hit-and-runs that took place over the last week.
Two reports were filed last Wednesday.
The first happened at 6:00 p.m. while parked on Rose Street. The driver parked his 2006 Toyota and returned to find damage to the rear driver's side door. The second report filed that day was for a hit and run that happened on April 8th at 7:50 p.m. in a local business parking lot. The owner parked her 2023 Chevrolet Traverse and returned to find extensive damage to the left side of the car.
On Sunday, a report came in of a hit and run that happened sometime between March 17th and 18th at a local business. The owner parked her car and returned to find key scratch marks on the side of the vehicle.
