STAN UTMAN
With deep sadness the family announces the passing of Stan on Friday May 5, 2023, at Dr. F. H. Wigmore Regional Hospital. He was born on November 8, 1947, in Ontario. At the young age of 18 he joined the military. Over his 31-year career he served at Beaver Lodge, Shilo, Germany, Calgary, Beausejour, Toronto, and his career also included a stint as a UN peacekeeper in Cypress. He closed out his career at the Moose Jaw base where he retired. For a while after leaving the military he worked as a civilian cook at the base and at a local restaurant. In his earlier life he was a boy scout leader, enjoying many field trips with the boys. On various bases he was involved with the search and rescue teams.
Hunting was a passion he enjoyed throughout his life. Other past times included playing darts, fishing and gardening. His favorite was camping, seeing many different locations with JoAnne and Patches. It didn’t matter if it was sunny or rainy, memories were made. His sunny disposition and humor will be missed.
