Ardrossan's Parade & Picnic event is returning to the hamlet on Saturday (June 17).
Hosted by the Ardrossan Recreation & Agricultural Society at the Memorial Hall, the event will feature a parade, vendors, live entertainment, and the accompanying RCMP Musical Ride.
"This year's pretty exciting because of [the musical ride]. However, it looks like [the musical ride] is going to be a wristband event capped to an audience of 2,500 people," said director Leighton Larson.
This is the event's 76th year and is completely free to attend.
The event starts with a free pancake breakfast before the market opens up to patrons looking to browse local vendors.
At 11 a.m. the parade begins, followed by the RCMP Musical Ride in the afternoon. Around this time the beer gardens open and the rest of the day will feature live entertainment.
Bouncy castles, magicians, and free candy during the parade are also expected.
"It's that old-fashioned candy parade made up of local businesses, youth groups, school bands, and all kinds of stuff like that."
The hamlet is expecting a turnout of around 5,000 people at the event.
