Elections Canada has released the estimated number of voters who cast a ballot during the four Advance Polling days held over the weekend.
According to the preliminary figures, 7,988 electors voted in the Portage-Lisgar by-election between Friday, June 9th, and Monday, June 12th.
The advance polls were open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.
Across the four by-elections currently being held across the country, including Winnipeg South Centre, as well as one in Ontario and Quebec, an estimated 36,010 voters took advantage of the advance polling period.
In the September 2021 general election, 45,356 valid ballots were cast in Portage-Lisgar.

Election day in the by-elections is Monday, June 19th, with Portage-Lisgar and Winnipeg South Centre polls open from 830am to 830pm that day.
