Glenn Kunz
December 12, 1951 – June 30, 2023
Glenn William Kunz, 71 years, of St. Mary’s Villa, Humboldt and formerly of Annaheim, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2023 with his family at his side. Glenn was born on December 12, 1951 in Humboldt to Ted and Bernarda (nee Knittig) Kunz . He grew up on the family farm in the Annaheim district and attended Annaheim School. Right out of school he worked for a few years at the PCS Lanigan mine, until he decided to move back and farm with his dad on the family farm. Glenn married Patricia Sarauer on November 11, 1972. Together they raised their three boys on their grain and bison farm. Glenn also worked for about 15 years with his Uncle Norb doing construction for the School Unit. Later, he and his friend Allan started A & G Construction, doing renovations and full construction projects. Glenn was an active member of his community, volunteering where needed, serving on the Annaheim Rec Board and the Humboldt and District Marketing Club. He loved coaching his boys in sports, and he enjoyed participating in curling, slo-pitch, golf, and Oldtimers hockey. You could often find him cheering on his favorite team, the Seattle Seahawks or the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He enjoyed socializing with friends and family, playing games and cards, telling jokes, crop checking, fishing and snacking on peanuts. Glenn and Pat liked to travel and were fortunate to be able to enjoy cruises, hot holidays, and trips to Vegas and British Columbia. Needing further care Glenn moved to St. Mary’s Villa in early 2020. Glenn will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 50 years, Pat Kunz; their three sons and 10 grandchildren: COREY Kunz (Olivia Young) and family Arthur, Greta and Ruby; REGAN Kunz (Baylee Lindal) and family Carly, William, Severin, and Harcus; and JEFF (Kristen) Kunz and family Bailey (Colton), Darcie (Joel) and Leah; his two sisters: Carol Kunz and Lorna (Greg) White and their family Krista (Sterling) Fuchs and children Ryder, Jackson and Emma, Danielle (Scott) Fernquist and son Ethan, and Haleigh (Graham); his Godchildren: Rob Kunz, Krista Fuchs and Kim Jackson; in-laws of the Sarauer family: Betty & Len Storoschuk, Elaine & Gordon Young, Connie & Gerry Puetz, Leander & Mary Sarauer, Shirl & Les Kunz, Allen & Lorelie Sarauer, and Duane & Allison Sarauer; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Glenn was predeceased by his parents, Ted and Bernarda Kunz and parents-in-law Art and Margaret Sarauer.
