Nearly two decades ago, husband and wife duo Sam and Trish Berg, started their business 'Glenberg Homes.'
Seeing a change in the demand and needs in the community, the Bergs continue to do what they're most known for but have also adjusted some of their focus.
"We continue to do custom homes where we design and plan, and manage, and construct homes," said Sam. "We've also gone into some commercial products as well. So for example, places like McDonald's in Morden, we built that new place. And 375 Thornhill, it's a 20-suite apartment building in Morden. And we're currently working on some additional multi-family projects in the Winkler, and Morden area."
Berg says they've really seen the need to expand into that area, and therefore, they're looking to serve their clients in that capacity.
During a re-grand opening of their office at 1645 Diamond Drive in Winkler, the Bergs revealed a new name for their business.
"The new name is 'Glenberg Design Builders.' And the intention there is to still continue with the design portion of our business but to help people understand a little bit better that we're not just home designers or just home builders, but we'll design and build your residential and commercial."
Together with his wife, Trish, Sam says 'Glenberg Design Builders' has a staff of four, which also includes a full-time designer and project manager. He adds they're looking forward to expanding their staff soon as well.
