It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Marina Grace Jones on July 11, 2023. Marina passed away peacefully in her sleep at Sunset Nursing Home in Regina. She was 86.
Mom grew up in Moose Jaw and Moose Jaw district. She moved to Edmonton in 1977, and later she moved to Legal, Alberta. She moved to Regina in 2020 to be closer to family. Mom loved listening to country music and enjoyed taking long walks.
She is predeceased by her father Howard Jones, mother Amy Rathwell, and brother Fred Jones.
She is survived by her daughter Beverly Myers (Craig) of Edmonton; grandchildren Jason (Ally), Josline (Steven), Joanna (Chris); daughter Linda Thorson of Vancouver; son Scott Snider (Julie) of Moose Jaw; grandchildren Valerie, Veronica (Parker); son Jeff Romanuk (Rhonda) of Regina; grandchildren Allisa, Karly, Kevin. As well as six great-grandchildren.
We would like to thank Sunset Nursing Home in Regina for the compassionate care given to our mother. A private family celebration of life will be held at Rosedale Cemetery at a future date.
