Carl Lincoln Anderson

April 24, 1933 – Sept 6, 2023

Carl Lincoln Anderson passed away peacefully in his sleep after a life lived to the fullest.

He was born on his parents’ Leonard and Aquina’s homestead near the head of Rock Creek. His life’s career began at an early age as he tended to the sheep and the cattle. The ranch was always home.

He loved to learn. Rural schools included Macworth, Woodville, and Sister Butte. He graduated from high school in Fir Mountain. He attended technical school in Moose Jaw.

Many share the joy that music offers and the smile on his face as he played exemplified that. Music was a gift from his mother. He began chording on the piano for Harry Romansky, then learned guitar and played with numerous dance bands; The Romansky Brothers, the Southern Four, and White Lightning.

He loved to play at jams, nursing homes and was always sharing musical tricks of the trade with those who played with him. At his 90th birthday party, he was thrilled to play accordion with four generations of his family musicians.

Carl was a dedicated citizen at many levels.
