Chamber President Christine Beaumont says the Business Excellence Awards ceremony is special event every year. She notes it is incredibly meaningful when local businesses are celebrated and recognized for the hard work they put in.
“What I find really special are the recipients and the messages and the stories about their businesses, where they've come from and what they value. Yeah, you really just take away a few Nuggets and it's inspiring.”
One particularly special moment came at the beginning of the award ceremony. The first award to be announced was Customer Service Award which was given to Brandt Pharmacy this year. Beaumont says the owner Chriag Patel wasn’t in attendance when the award was first announced.
“So, we're going ‘okay we're going to accept the award on his behalf, and we'll take a picture at a later time’ and then someone from the crowd's like ‘he's here!’ So, he walks in at that moment and it was really special because he literally stayed at his business, he's late getting here, but he's staying there so that he can take care of his clients."
Beaumont notes, there could not be a more fitting way to win a customer service award.
All in all, Beaumont says the Business Excellence Awards were very successful this year.
