Residents across northwestern Ontario will be able to get their first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine today, pending eligibility.

The Northwestern Health Unit is hosting three walk-in clinics in the region, including one in Kenora, one in Dryden and one in Rainy River.

All residents over the age of 12 are eligible for their first dose of the vaccine, while residents over the age of 80 are eligible for their second dose.

The three clinics, held in Kenora and Dryden’s arenas and Rainy River’s in the Rainy River High School, will run from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m.

The NWHU reminds the community that you may have to wait outdoors to ensure social distancing, and you’re asked to dress for the weather and bring a snack.

The clinics operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. But anyone over the age of 12 who would rather book an appointment is asked to visit or Ontario's Vaccine Booking site or call 1-833-943-3900.
