June 4: 3 active COVID-19 cases across NWO

Thanks to the efforts of front-line healthcare workers and residents across the region, there are only three active COVID-19 cases reported across northwestern Ontario.

Staff with the Northwestern Health Unit say the active cases include one in the Kenora Health Hub, and two in the Sioux Lookout Health Hub.

One of the two in the Sioux Lookout area cases was reported earlier this morning. Follow-up with those involved and their contacts has started, and anyone who is identified as a contact for these cases will be reached directly.

Anyone who has cold or flu-like symptoms, or who has been in contact with a positive case, should self-isolate, get tested and remain in isolation until your test results are known.
