Moose Jaw Warriors prospects Micah Davidson was busy on the opening night of the 2023 WHL Cup in Red Deer, AB.

Davidson made 32 saves to help Team British Columbia to a 4-2 win over Team Saskatchewan to kick-off the tournament.

Davey Fisher, the Warriors’ 2023 ninth-round pick, finished with one assist for Team Saskatchewan, which also includes William Degagne and Carson Deichert, in the loss.

In other action on Day 1 of the round robin, Warriors first-round pick Aaron Sawatzky and Team Alberta skated to a 4-2 win over Team Manitoba.

The round robin continues on Thursday with Team BC taking on Team Manitoba at 4:15 p.m. followed by Team Alberta squaring off with Team Saskatchewan.
