Search for Sandy Bay murder suspect carries on
Manitoba RCMP continue to pursue Fantasia Prince concerning a homicide on Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation on June 29.
Prince is 26 years old and has been charged with the 2nd Degree Murder of a 24-year-old women from Sandy Bay.
Police note that the murder suspect may be armed and should not be approached.
Anyone with information about Prince's whereabouts is asked to call the Manitoba First Nation Police Service at 204-843-7700 or the Amaranth RCMP at 204-843-2691.
Souris RCMP investigating fatal collision on Highway 10
Manitoba RCMP are sharing some tragic news Friday morning.
In a tweet, the Manitoba RCMP reported that they responded to Tuesday's two-vehicle collision on Highway 10, 5km north of Highway 1.
Police say the crash happened after a southbound pickup truck veered into the northbound lane and collided with a semi-truck. Both occupants of the pickup died. The 39-year-old semi-driver was in hospital.
The RCMP says that the investigation into this case is ongoing.
PCI graduates sail off into the sunset
Over 200 Portage Collegiate Institute Grade 12 students accepted their High School Diplomas Wednesday at Stride Place.
PortageOnline caught up with a few 2023 PCI graduates about the experience.
Kaitlyn Myerion made her way across the Stride Place stage on Wednesday.
She talks about what's next for her.
"I'm going to college for healthcare aid. I'm very nervous about that next step. It's a big step, more than high school, so many more challenges."

Downtown Portage la Prairie received countless makeovers for holidays that have come and gone during the winter and spring, thanks to the Holiday Avenue Project.
Bonnie Houle is a member of the group and says they were happy with how things were worked out this year.
"Our main aim at the beginning was to do the winter scenes, and that's how it got started, so we're very happy with the way things turned out this year. We are very excited with the new wreaths that were put on the new lampposts along downtown Saskatchewan Ave."
