Most new COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, Manitobans not fully vaccianted
Since Saturday there are more than 150 new COVID-19 cases in Manitoba, keeping the five-day test positivity rate stable.
On Saturday there were 54 new COVID-19 cases, 60 new cases on Sunday, and 42 new cases Monday.

Manitoba expanding third COVID-19 vaccine dose eligibility to include care homes
Many malls across Winnipeg will be hosting vaccine pop-ups this week.
Last week, the Province of Manitoba announced third-dose eligibility requirements for the COVID-19 vaccine, including people who are seriously immunocompromised and those needing a third dose for travel purposes. The province is finding Manitobans who are immunocompromised are ending up in the hospital with COVID-19, even if they are fully vaccinated.
Alberta's COVID-19 vaccination passport program goes into effect today
Effective today, Albertans will require one more piece of identification in their wallets to gain access to a wide range of services provincewide.
It's up to business owners on whether they want to implement the proof of immunization program at their establishment, which in turn gives them the ability to operate under somewhat normal circumstances.
The Restrictions Exemption Program (REP) applies to non-essential businesses across the province including restaurants, nightclubs, casinos, concert venues and fitness facilities.
Getting proof of vaccination card now easier in Alberta
Albertans can now access a convenient card-sized proof of vaccination easily and quickly on alberta.ca/CovidRecords without creating an online account.
Albertans should have immediate access with no or minimal online wait time.
Any Albertan who received their COVID-19 immunization, including children 12 years and older, will be able to save or print the card by entering:
Proof of vaccination now required at SLS Family Sports Centre
Effective today, September 20, 2021, you'll need to provide proof of COVID-19 immunization to access programs and spaces at the SLS Family Sports Centre.
September 20: Five cases of COVID-19 reported
The Northwestern Health Unit has reported five new cases of COVID-19 in the region since it last reported cases on Friday.
Three of the new cases are in the District of Rainy River and two new cases are in the Dryden / Red Lake region.
There are currently 12 active cases in the region.
Provincewide, 610 new cases of COVID-19 were reported today.
Follow up with the persons involved and their contacts have started according to protocol. Anyone who is identified as a contact for these cases will be contacted directly.

This week marks the start of Ontario’s new vaccine passport system.
As of Wednesday, September 22, 2021, Ontarians will need to show proof of vaccination to enter places such as; restaurants, conference centres and gyms.
‘COVID-19 not going away,’ Dr. Moore on third doses
Ontario’s most vulnerable residents who are currently facing some of the highest risks of contracting COVID-19 and its Delta variant will soon be able to receive a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, if they choose to.
Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Kieran Moore, announced earlier this week that Ontario is expanding third dose eligibility to those facing the highest risk of serious illness from the virus, after recommendations from the National Advisory on Immunization.
