Join Us for the Alberta Day of Caring for Jasper: Bottle Drive at Air 106.1!

On Wednesday, July 31st, Air 106.1 in Airdrie is proudly participating in the Alberta Day of Caring for Jasper—a province-wide initiative to support those affected by the recent Jasper Wildfire. We’re teaming up with radio stations across Alberta to make a meaningful impact, and we need your help!

Today is the day to feel extra good about grabbing that cup of coffee to feed your soul! Tim Hortons Camp Day has returned, with 100 per cent of proceeds from hot and iced coffee sales donated to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.

AIR 106.1 will be live on location for today from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. at the Tim Hortons located at the intersection of Main Street and Yankee Valley Boulevard.

Get ready to embark on a whimsical journey at the Bubble Chase 5k event happening on July 13th at 800 East Lake Blvd NE in Airdrie. This unique race isn't just about running or walking; it's about immersing yourself in a world of bubbles and laughter! Then on Monday come eat and support a great cause at Boston Pizza! 

Join us at Boston Pizza in Airdrie on Tuesday, July 9 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a very special event!

Air 106.1 will be on site and we are thrilled to be a part of hanging out with Stephen’s Backpacks Society to bring confidence to kids starting or continuing school. Stephen's Backpack's dedicated volunteers will be there alongside Air 106.1 staff and the beautiful people from Boston Pizza to create a memorable evening.

Air 106.1 is excited to be part of the Airdrie Pro Rodeo this weekend! The action starts June 28th going until July 1st and we'll be there to wrangle up the excitement! Located North of Calgary and West of Airdrie, getting there is easy: Head North on the QE2 to Airdrie, then west on Highway #576 (Veterans Blvd) for 10 km. Look for the rodeo signage on the south side of the highway and come say hello!

This week I had the chance to take part in the 2024 Rural Women in Business Conference, and it was a HUGE success!!

It was held at the Crossfield & District Community Hall and hosted by the Airdrie and Crossfield Chambers of Commerce. 

I spoke with Airdrie Chambers Executive Director Marilyne Aalhus about what we can do to support women in business.
