Today is the day to feel extra good about grabbing that cup of coffee to feed your soul! Tim Hortons Camp Day has returned, with 100 per cent of proceeds from hot and iced coffee sales donated to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.
AIR 106.1 will be live on location for today from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. at the Tim Hortons located at the intersection of Main Street and Yankee Valley Boulevard.
The goal of the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps is to assist underprivileged youngsters in realizing their full potential by giving them chances that will change their lives. In the 50 years of the foundation's existence, more than 320,000 youth have received help through multi-year development programs.
In 1987, 58 restaurant owners in Atlantic Canada initiated Camp Day by donating a full day's profits to the Tim Horton Children's Camp located in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. In 1991, the program was extended to every Tim Hortons location in Canada. Tim Hortons, Tims restaurant owners, and guests have collectively raised over $250 million through Camp Day since 1991.
Here are a few ways you can help support Tim Hortons Camp Day:
- Tim Hortons Foundation Camps receive 100 per cent of the sales revenues from all hot and iced coffee purchases. This is a fantastic day to check the amount of your order and grab coffee for your loved ones.
- Get a Tim Hortons Take 12 to split with family, friends, and coworkers. A Tim Hortons Take 12 comes with cups, sweeteners, dairy, and twelve tiny coffees. In order for their entire family or business team to participate in Camp Day together, guests can also complete a pre-purchase form for Tim Hortons Take 12s ahead of time.
- Starting today, Tim Hortons patrons can begin contributing to the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps by purchasing a $2 donation badge or a $3 Camp Day bracelet, with all earnings going toward the camps.
- To help Tims Camps, use the Tim Hortons mobile app and round up. To enable the Round Up feature, launch the Tim Hortons app, select 'Community', and then adjust your order to the closest ten cents. A Tim Hortons employee is also available to round up your order to the closest dollar.
- Additionally, for $2, customers in Canada will be able to purchase a Camp Day donut at participating restaurants, with all earnings going to Tim's Camps.
