Premiers meet with PM Mark Carney, call for end to internal trade barriers
Several of Canada's premiers called for the elimination of interprovincial trade barriers on Friday ahead of a meeting with Prime Minister Mark Carney.
Carney was meeting with premiers at the Canadian War Museum Friday afternoon to discuss the federal government's response to Chinese and U.S. tariffs.
Speaking to reporters before the meeting, Ontario Premier Doug Ford said "we need a united Canada."

Foreman's family say he died peacefully today surrounded by loved ones.
"A devout preacher, devoted husband, loving father and proud grand and great grandfather, he lived a life marked by unwavering faith, humility, and purpose," said his family in a post on Instagram.
Woman, 70, dies after falling through ice on Lake Winnipegosis
A 70-year-old woman is dead after falling through the ice on Lake Winnipegosis.
RCMP say the woman was walking her two dogs Thursday afternoon around 1 p.m. and failed to return home.
A family member went to look for the woman and found one of the dogs sitting out on the ice.
Winnipegosis RCMP, along with the local fire department, attended the scene and began a search of the area which had open areas of water.
The victim was eventually located under the ice and recovered.
