Hudson's Bay to liquidate entire business, still seeking additional capital

Despite holding out hope it can avoid a full shutdown, Hudson's Bay says it is planning an "immediate" liquidation that would begin next week and wrap up in June.

In a late Friday announcement, Canada's oldest company said it couldn't secure the necessary financing to keep at least some of its empire alive.

Jets roll past Stars in front of electric Canada Life Centre crowd ▶️

The Winnipeg Jets took down the Dallas Stars 4-1 in front of a sold-out Canada Life Centre crowd last night.

It was a showdown between the top two teams in the Central Division and Western Conference, and the Jets showed they're the real deal. The win gives them a 10-point lead in the division.

Kyle Connor led the way with two goals and an assist, while Mark Scheifele picked up three assists. Dylan Samberg and Morgan Barron also scored, and Connor Hellebuyck made 24 saves.

Strong winds gusting up to 90 km/h expected across southern Manitoba, warnings issued

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for parts of southern Manitoba, with strong gusts reaching up to 90 km/h this morning.

Areas under the warning include Morden, Winkler, Altona, Morris, Steinbach, St. Adolphe, Emerson, Vita, and Richer. The winds are expected to ease this afternoon and diminish further this evening.

Environment Canada warns that the strong winds may cause damage to buildings, including roof shingles and windows, and could knock down tree branches or power lines, leading to possible utility outages.
