A church leader made the announcement to the congregation on Sunday saying that MacArthur, "may be in the presence of the Lord soon.”

Margaret Harder nee Dueck, 93, of Altona passed away Saturday, July 12th at Altona Memorial Health Centre. She is survived by 2 daughters, 6 sons, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Ed, 1 daughter, 1 son, 1 daughter-in-law, and 1 grandson. 
The funeral service for Margaret Harder nee Dueck will be held Thursday, July 17th at 2pm at South Park Mennonite Brethren Church, Altona with burial at Altona Cemetery. 

The Winnipeg Police Service says a missing 24-year-old male has been safely located.

The young man was last seen on July 9, and police sent out a missing persons alert on July 11.

On July 12 the WPS sent out another alert saying the man had been found safe.

Steven Malcolm has done it again, taking Christian hip-hop and combining it with an anthemic worship song feel with his tune "Yes."

"God took a fatherless kid who, because of where I came from and what I had been through, always felt a sense of unworthiness," shares Steven Malcolm. "You’re telling me I’m worthy to be saved?! YES! God responded with ‘yes.’"

Malcolm called on a few friends to join him, featuring Christian rapper KB, as well as the CCM band for KING & COUNTRY.

Environment Canada is continuing to alert southern Manitoba to the air quality issues caused by the wildfires in northern Manitoba, which continue to rage. 

"This air quality statement is in place for the wildfire smoke that's coming down from the northern and central portions of the prairie provinces towards southern Manitoba," says Eric Dykes, a meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada (EC). 

The air quality will sit mostly between 7 and 9 throughout Monday, which is very high. 

Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand says the economy is becoming the primary focus of Canada's relationships in the Indo-Pacific — a shift that appears linked to Canada's recent moves to overcome its security dispute with India.

Anand was in Japan and Malaysia this week for her first trip to the region since taking over as foreign minister in May. Her message coming out of that trip was that Canada's foreign policy is shifting — though not abandoning — the priorities set by the previous Liberal government of former prime minister Justin Trudeau.

The Canadian Armed Forces says it's evacuated over a thousand residents of a northern Manitoba community threatened by a wildfire, while towns and villages in the province are welcoming cooler weather they say is helping firefighters.

The military began removing people from Garden Hill First Nation on CC-130 Hercules transport airplanes on Friday, and it says that as of Sunday afternoon, over 1,550 have been flown to Winnipeg.

Dozens of people gathered on Sunday evening for a Bike Blessing Service cohosted by the Bondslaves Motorcycle Club and the House of the Risen Son Church. It was held at Soul Sanctuary, where the House of the Risen Son Church congregates for weekly Sunday evening worship.

At the Bike Blessing, there was a time of prayer and communion. A church service by the House of the Risen Son Church followed afterward. 

The Bondslaves Motorcycle Club is a Christian traditional motorcycle club and has a long history spanning over 30 years in Manitoba.
