Sask. MLA Jared Clarke criticizes Sask. Party's stance on transgender youth in schools

A Saskatchewan MLA accused Premier Scott Moe of putting a "target" on his children’s backs following the premier’s controversial comments regarding transgender students and school facilities.

Opposition NDP member Jared Clarke told the legislative assembly this week that his transgender daughters were targeted in an election campaign promise about school change rooms. Clarke said his daughters were subjects of a complaint for using a girls’ change room at a southeast Saskatchewan school.

Government of Canada invests $20.5 million in fight against gun crime in Saskatchewan

the Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Public Safety, Democratic Institutions and Intergovernmental Affairs announced this week that the federal government is investing $20.5 million in Saskatchewan to address gun violence through the Gun and Gang Violence Action Fund.

The funding aims to support community organizations and law enforcement in reducing gun crime and improving public safety.
