Lecrae releases first studio album in three years

For the first time in three years, four-time Grammy Award-winning artist Lecrae has released a new studio album.

Reconstruction features several collaborations, including Madison Ryann Ward, Torey D’Shaun, Jackie Hill Perry, Propaganda, MEEZO!, Aklesso, and Hollyn.

"When life feels like it’s unravelling, God may be shaking the foundations, not to destroy us, but to rebuild something deeper, truer," Lecrae said on social media. 

Tasha Layton drops powerful new song with Rachael Lampa

Author and singer Tasha Layton has released a new single ahead of the upcoming album, Life In Me.

The new track, "The One You Love," features fellow powerhouse, Rachael Lampa.

"This song really speaks to who we are in Christ," shares Tasha Layton. "When the world says so many things about who I am and who I'm not, I can rest in the beautiful truth that...I am the one He loves. Nothing else matters more than that. It's a soul-satisfying truth that brings us peace despite our circumstances."

From death to life: The miracle that changed the Smallbone family forever

Courtney Smallbone recently opened up about the miracle of her son after he essentially died in his crib. 

Smallbone, the wife of Luke Smallbone of for KING & COUNTRY, was recently sharing her son's miracle story on the Heaven Meets Earth Podcast with Abigail Robertson and Ryan Bethea.

The couple have four children. When their third child, Leo, was just eight weeks old, they thought they had lost him. 

After near-death experience, lead singer of Collect Assembly on mission to share Jesus

A country rock Christian band from Saskatchewan with family ties has turned their miracle story into a means of sharing the gospel through song. 

"Me and my wife got married very young," says Joel Ivey, the co-lead singer and guitarist of Collect Assembly. "I was 20 and she was 18. I knew Morgan, her little sister, since she was very young. The calling to do music together was there."

Collect Assembly was created by Ivey and his sister-in-law, Morgan Groenewald. Their latest single, "Echo," was written during an Easter family gathering, according to Ivey. 

Focus on the Family founder James Dobson passed away

Focus on the Family's founder James C. Dobson passed away Thursday morning. 

"Today we remember a hero of the faith," says Focus on the Family on their Facebook page. "Our Founder, Dr. James C. Dobson, passed away this morning."

Focus on the Family radio programs that often include the voice of Dobson are played on over 3,000 radio facilities in North America and in twenty-seven languages in approximately 4,130 additional facilities in over 160 other countries.

Judge Frank Caprio, known for compassionate justice, dead at 88

A  judge, best known for his compassion and unwavering belief in the goodness of people, has died. 

Judge Frank Caprio passed away peacefully on Wednesday after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. 

"Judge Caprio touched the lives of millions through his work in the courtroom and beyond," said his family in a post on social media. "His warmth, humour, and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him."

Judge Caprio was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in late 2023. He underwent treatment and reached remission. However, he fell ill recently. 

'God surrounded me with believers': Greg Laurie reflects on hip surgery and faith

After undergoing hip surgery earlier this week, Pastor Greg Laurie, lead pastor of Harvest Church in California, is giving thanks to God for allowing him to share his goodness, even before the procedure took place. 

"From the moment I walked into the hospital, God surrounded me with believers — the receptionist, the nurses, even my doctor, who asked me to pray for him before his surgeries that day," said Laurie in a post on social media. "My anesthesiologist was also a Christian. What a blessing!"

Canadian MLB pitcher Cade Smith says faith defines him more than baseball

For the last two years, Cade Smith has been a reliable pitcher for the Cleveland Guardians in Major League Baseball, now he's sharing one of his favourite Bible verses with fans while signing autographs. 

Darby Nobles is the team chaplain for several Cleveland teams such as the Browns and the Cavaliers. He is also the Metro Cleveland director for the Cleveland Fellowship of Christian Athletes. 

Nobles shared a video on social media of Smith signing autographs over the weekend and explaining why he has "1 Cor 6:11" written on his glove. 

Animated film ‘Light of the World’ brings life of Jesus to big screen

A brand-new animated film called Light of the World is set to hit theatres this fall and move hearts, depicting the life of Jesus. 

"It's a reimaging of telling the life story of Jesus through the eyes of a young disciple, John," says John Schafer, the director of Light of the World. "It's a fresh take on it. We made this movie for everyone, but we wrote it mind for people who may not have a concept of Jesus or the Bible."

We Are Messengers release powerful song for daughter's 13th birthday

Darren Mulligan, the lead singer of We Are Messengers, celebrated his daughter's 13th birthday by releasing a tear-jerking song. 

Mulligan and his wife Heidi have four children together, and their eldest daughter, Emmanuelle, just became a teenager.

"It has been a wrestle, for me, letting go of that beautiful child-like relationship that we had when she was a small, wee baby girl," says Mulligan on the band's social media. "But I get the privilege of watching her grow up and navigate a really tricky world."
