'This is what we train for': How Samaritan's Purse is helping those evacuating after Jasper wildfires

With the devastating fires in western Canada, one Christian organization is setting up an evacuation centre to help affected families. 

Samaritan's Purse is in Kamloops, B.C. after the request of B.C. Emergency Management and Climate Readiness, the Christian disaster relief organization has sent a team of specialists to British Columbia, where they are setting up and operating a 100-bed evacuation facility.

Anne Wilson performs with 'God's least likely messenger'

Christian singer and songwriter Anne Wilson received some backlash following a recent performance.

While performing at the Faster Horses Festival, Wilson was asked to perform a duet alongside Jelly Roll.

Wilson was excited to follow through with this last-minute ask, posting her reaction video on social media.

"When Jelly Roll asks you last minute to sing with him and you say YES!!!!!" said Anne Wilson in a post on Instagram.

In the video, you can see Anne excited and running around preparing for this special performance. 

CAIN sister announces emotional news after praying for miracle

The Christian band CAIN made a teary-eyed announcement on social media, sharing some happy news with the world. 

CAIN is made up of a brother and two sisters, Logan, Taylor, and Madison. The siblings not only sing and tour together, but they've been starting families at the same time in the last few years. The brother, Logan and his wife have two children. Taylor Cain Matz has a daughter and recently announced that she's expecting her second child.

Creating songs from Canada for Canadians and Canadian churches is what Royal Anthems hopes to do, and hasn't happened to this extent in the past.

As Canada is so spread out, Royal Anthems Director Matthew Grieve says that people in Toronto don't know what is happening in Vancouver churches and vice versa.

A former Winnipeg resident who now lives in Jasper, Alta. is in shock after having to flee her home with her husband and toddler after wildfires spread rapidly in the town.

"My family immigrated (to Canada) back in 2008 and I was 12 years old," says Shalom Capitly. She called Winnipeg home since that time, as did her husband, and both were involved in local churches until they got married.

200,000 Bibles expected to be given out at Paris 2024 Olympic Games

Paris 2024 Olympic Games open officially on Friday night, and one organization is ready to spread the Word of God.

According to a release, the French Bible Society is handing out New Testament with the goal of, "leaving a lasting legacy that extends far beyond the athletic arenas." Handing out 140,000 copies in French and 60,000 in English. 

Brandon Lake cleans up with most nominations ever in 55th Dove Awards

Celebrating their 55th annual awards show the Gospel Music Association (GMA) has released its list of nominations. 

Brandon Lake released his album Coat of Many Colors in October of 2023. Because of this album and the songs, Lake has been nominated for 16 Dove Awards this year including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year. That is the most nominations one artist has ever received for the Dove Awards.
