Historic Dallas Church plans to rebuild after devastating weekend fire

A church in Dallas says they will rebuild following a devastating fire Friday evening.

The historic First Baptist Church of Dallas, located in the heart of the city's downtown, went up in flames at around 6:30 p.m. on Friday. 

“We are grateful that no life has been lost even though we had 2,000 children and volunteers on campus for Vacation Bible School earlier in the day," said Senior Pastor, Dr. Robert Jeffress.

Trans World Radio (TWR) Europe is bringing an aspect of the Christian faith to the summer Olympics in Paris, France. They are launching something called 'Games Talk' that includes three connected aspects. The Olympics run from July 26 until Aug. 11.

Matthew West adds another accolade to his resume with another number-one song. 

West's 'Don't Stop Praying' recently became his 13th track to reach the top of the Billboard Christian Airplay chart. The achievement ties West with fellow Christian artist, TobyMac for the most number one songs by solo artists on the ranking. 

'Don't Stop Praying' also was West's largest debut streaming week in his career and is on track to be his most streamed song. 

Church fires long-time pastor after finding out he was convicted sex offender

A church in South Carolina just fired their pastor after finding out some disturbing information about him regarding an assault on a 14-year-old girl. 

Pastor Donald Logan has been fired from his position at Eternal Church in Fort Mill, SC, in the U.S.A. It was recently revealed that Logan is a registered sex offender convicted of sexual misconduct with a 14-year-old girl, an incident that took place 27 years ago.

A normal trip to 7-Eleven turned into much more than expected for Virginia Spence of Courageous Hearts Ministries. 

While at the store, Spence's sister saw someone with the word Kingdom on their shirt. "It just happened to be the pastor of Table of Encounter Ministries on 1415 Main Street," Spence says. 

After getting invited to the weekly church service, Spence says she wanted to know more. "I said isn't that interesting because remember, we were thinking if we could find a location to do some street ministry, maybe these guys do street ministry, who knows?"
