Pastor and foster parent facing 100 child pornography related charges

A pair of cyber tips has led to the arrest of an Arkansas pastor and foster parent who is facing 100 counts of crimes related to child pornography.

43-year-old James Vincent Henry came up on the radar of the Internet Crimes Against Child Task Force after they were alerted last month by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Phil Wickham ends Canadian tour with special French performance

Phil Wickham stepped out of his comfort zone over the weekend as he wrapped up his last tour date in Canada. 

For the first time, Wickham performed a song in French in front of a sold-out concert in Montreal, Quebec Saturday evening.

"A first for me! I sang a song in French at our show in Montreal," said Phil in a post on Instagram. "It was such a beautiful moment to see the Church alive in Canada."

Winnipeg is hosting world-class blues Christian musician Glenn Kaiser alongside Robert Andreas in an evening of gospel blues. 

Glenn Kaiser is a Blues musician from Chicago, IL. He's toured his music all across Canada over his colourful music career. 

"I started playing when I was 12," says Kaiser. "I went through drugs, alcohol, addiction and I got to a place where I did everything but shooting [using needles]. It's a very long story but Jesus showed up in my life in technicolor."

A season of play and purpose: Athletes in Action camps engage over 1,000 kids ▶️

Over 1,000 kids were able to spend part of their summer playing sports while learning about Jesus through Athletes in Action's summer camps. 

Steve Klassen is the regional director of Athletes and Action Youth Initiatives and says that the primary focus was basketball, volleyball, and soccer.

A documentary about Brandon Lake and Phil Wickham's life on the road, and the faith that follows, is hitting theatres this fall. 

For the One captures the moments of Lake and Wickham's Summer Worship Nights Tour on and off stage. 

"My hope for this project is that it would not only show what it takes to go on tour, but why the music and touring mean so much to us. Countless lives have been changed, especially ours. Though we’ve had the opportunity to influence many, our focus remains for the One," said Lake. 

Anthony Hopkins starring in Netflix film about nativity story

With a unique perspective directly from Mary, the mother of Jesus, a new film is hitting Netflix this winter. 

The film, executively produced by pastor, author, and speaker, Joel Osteen, is simply called Mary. It follows the story of Mary and Joseph after their son Jesus is born, as the family flees from King Herod’s deadly pursuit. 

Golden Globe award-winning actor Anthony Hopkins portrays King Herod, while Israeli actress Noa Cohen plays the lead as Mary. 

Mary Aloe is another producer on the film that was shot in Morocco.

Steinbach Bible College (SBC) is looking forward to relocating their campus into what was previously the Steinbach Family Medical Centre on Loewen Boulevard.

They are some of the hundreds — possibly thousands — of Canadian line workers who have been called into service to help rebuild power grids after Helene and now Hurricane Milton have left millions of Americans in the dark.
