Hundreds baptized at Florida beach by former witch
Roughly 200 people are singing praises after being baptized on Easter Sunday at a beach near Clearwater, Florida.
'Resurrection Sunday Held on the Beach' brought out over 400 people and the church service was led by Senior Leader of the Core Group, Jenny Weaver.
At 17 years old, Weaver found herself addicted to drugs and living on the streets. She was also deeply into the occult and called herself a witch.
Haiti’s downward spiral continues, but ministry doors stay open
Haiti’s transitional presidential council released its first statement Wednesday, sharing hopes that it will soon choose a new prime minister. The council promised to restore “public and democratic order” in Haiti.
Meanwhile, the country’s downward spiral continues. UN authorities report that approximately 1.64 million people in Haiti experience emergency levels of acute food insecurity.
But there is still hope. Greg Yoder with Christian World Outreach (CWO) says,
"Believers still trust that God will intervene, and they’re praying for that."

Fiyin Obayan was born in Nigeria and moved to Saskatchewan when she was five years old. Her first single, 'Love Gives Me Wings to Fly' was released on February 28, 2024.
"I have been songwriting since I was nine," says Obayan. "Performing at church and jazz festivals. This is my first single I've released on Spotify. This song is about journeying through the concept of forgiveness."
'I am wounded, but I am not dead': Pastor shot outside of church returns to pulpit Easter Sunday
A pastor who was shot in the face outside his church in late February returned to the pulpit on Easter Sunday.
Pastor Clemmie Livingston Jr. was shot outside of New Zionfield Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee on Feb. 25, following a carjacking that took place just minutes before his Sunday service was about to start.
People of all ages gathered in Steinbach for the Easter Sunrise Service
There was a large congregation for the Easter Sunrise Service in Steinbach at the Grace Mennonite Church.
The service began at 7 a.m. on Easter Sunday and the church was full.
Conductor Albert Bergen appreciates this opportunity to sing with the community.
“This is important because this is the pinnacle, and this is the climax of Christianity, which is my personal faith,” says Bergen. “Serving God with the choir and with the brass quintet was just amazing. I rarely or sparingly use the word ‘amazing’, but this fits it very, very well.”

Catherine Plett lives in the Winkler area with her husband and three boys. Sharing the gospel is her passion and it's been brought down to sharing His word on social media after Lyme Disease has taken so much away from her. Plett has been a songwriter for many years, releasing music that she says God puts on her heart.

Jeremy Camp is back on the road after undergoing heart surgery earlier this month.
Two weeks ago, Jeremy Camp took to social media to let fans know that he would be going through a procedure called cardiac ablation to treat his atrial fibrillation (AFib), which causes irregular and often very rapid heart rhythm that can lead to other complications.
He continued to update his fans, letting them know the surgery went well and that he was resting at home.
