Residents can cycle safely with the annual bike safety event
Bring your bikes and helmets to Riverdene Park tomorrow for the annual bike safety event.
The event is being put on by the City of Swift Current along with the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the Kiwanis Club of Swift Current and will be taking place from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Seniors' Source initiative aims to inform and keep active
A fairly new initiative launched by the city of Swift Current aims to provide seniors with an easily accessible calendar of community programs aimed specifically for them.
Krista Caswell, Community Recreation Coordinator with the city explains the main purpose behind the Seniors' Source program.
"The main goal of the Seniors' Source is just to make a one-stop calendar look of things that are being offered for seniors in our community. So those are adults aged 55 and up."
High school productions hit stage before heading to showcase
Theatre lovers can see two shows for the price of one tomorrow evening courtesy of the Swift Current Comprehensive High School Drama Department
Drama students will be performing two productions the first of which is called the Stowaway and the second is Dracula's Daughters.
Actor Mapalo Mushoriwa says the second production incorporates some funny dark humor.
"It's a really funny comedy, sort of like dark humor but it's very family friendly. It's about Dracula's daughters finding suitors and it's really a good laugh."

Riots battle the bones in Regina
There was a riot in Regina this weekend as Swift Current's very own Ra Ra Riots took their roller derby skills on the road
The Riots faced off against Regina's Pile o Bones at the Caledonian Curling Club on Saturday.
After an exciting matchup between the two teams, Pile o Bones rolled away with the win of 250-228
The riots will be getting geared up for their next home game taking place on May 25th.

Brayden King to ignite the cabaret stage at Frontier Days
A rising star in the Canadian music scene and former American Idol contestant Brayden King will be taking to the stage during Frontier Days next month.
King has had a busy year including just wrapping up a three-month tour that saw him making stops everywhere from Vancouver Island to Alberta. He also recently returned from a trip to Nashville where he could focus on his songwriting and collaborate with some of his favorite artists.
