The Swift Current Online auction is now open. The auction will run from today until August the 21st. 

With over 700 items ranging from everything from pool tables to gift cards there is sure to be something for everyone. 

Here is a quick look at a few of our fabulous auction items:

Our Southwest Explorer Alex will be looking a little different this weekend. 

Our good friend Hayden Michaels from the Swift Current Online newsroom will be hitting the road in Alex's place at this weekend's upcoming events. 

All this week on the morning shows we will be giving you a chance to win yourself a pair of tickets to the Herbert Stampede taking place in Herbert from August 2nd-4th.

Each weekday morning this week we will be drawing one lucky winner per station. So text in to win and make sure to listen to find out if you are today's lucky listener. 

Much of the southwest descended on Shaunavon last weekend for their annual Boomtown Days events. 

Multiple days of events took place including a successful car show as Cal Vance President of the Shaunavon Chamber of Commerce explains. 

"We were one shy of our record as far as the number of cars. so basically the same as last year. Lots of new vehicles that we had never seen before showed up. All of the trophies ended up going to out-of-town winners which was a first." 

After months of renovations, a new local eatery is days away from opening its doors. 

Situated in the previous Buffalo Brew Pub location, Trattoria Raccolto aims to bring the authentic taste of Italy to the city of Swift Current. 

Our Southwest Explorer Alex will look a little different this weekend. 

Our good friend Kash Knight will be filling in as our weekend Southwest Explorer and you can catch her in Eastend this Saturday at the Big Flat Folkfest. 

Kash will be live on location from 2:00 - 5:00 pm and looking to hand out some Full Line Ag Fun Bucks. 

So keep an eye out for Kash at the event and if you see her ask her for some fun bucks which will be very useful to you at the end of the summer when we hold our Million Dollar Auction. 

Once again this Summer our Southwest Explorer Alex is hitting the road and checking out events across the Southwest. 

While attending these events, Alex will be handing out some valuable Full Line Ag Fun Bucks that you will want to get your hands on!

You should try to collect as many of these Fun Bucks as possible throughout the Summer as they are going to be very useful during our Million Dollar Auction being held at the end of the Summer. 

After weeks of submissions and voting it's time to announce the winners of this year's Frontier Day's Beard, Mullet and Mustache contest. A huge congratulations to all of our winners! Winners of Best Groomed and Longest categories will receive a grooming package from Rittinger's Men's Wear. Mullet category winner's will each receive a $25 gift card to the Stable from the Swift Current Bronco's and the winner in our Animal category will receive a $50 gift card to Pet Valu. 

The Shaunavon Hospital and Care Centre will have a temporary service disruption starting today, June 21st at 4:30pm until June 24th at 8:00am. 

According to a public notice from the Town of Shaunavon, posted to social media, the following services will NOT be available during this time: Emergency Room, Laboratory, X-Ray.

During this time, Emergency Department services are available at: Cypress Regional Hospital and Southwest Integ. H.C. Facility
