The 8th annual 3 On 3 hockey tournament put on by the Arnal Boys Memorial Bursary for Young Farmers takes place next weekend at Eastend Rink Complex.

Chantal Henderson provides some details on the bursaries given out each year.

"We give bursaries out to kids between the ages of 8 and 18 who have an agricultural passion and a project or education in mind in the agricultural field. We just had the deadline for that come February 1st so we have the applications for this year and I think there's 14 of them."

Education Program Coordinator with the Swift Current Museum, Corla Rokochy provides details on the event.

"We think it will be a great time for those people looking for special and unique gifts for family, loved ones, and kids to come to the museum and find something interesting and different that they can give to their loved ones for Valentine's Day."

The event involves many of the mall's clothing retailers as Terry Highet, Property Manager of the mall explains. 

"The event involves almost all of our retailers that sell women's clothing here at Swift Current Mall. They have gotten together to plan an extravaganza of Spring clothing, clear out items and there's the fashion show. The mall is going to stay open late."

The Swift Current Ag & Ex will return with their Spring fundraiser on March 8th which will have a different look this year. 

In partnership with Remax, they will be presenting the Southwest Sip & Shop taking place at the Stockade Building at Kinetic Park. 

The event will consist of food, beverage, and shopping vendors, and the General Manager of Swift Current Ag & Ex Tracey Stevenson, provides details on the types of vendors being sought.
