Terriers moving on up in National Rankings - Sports Update

The Portage Terriers and Steinbach Pistons, who both own 9-1 records and are tied for top spot in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's East Division, are in the Canadian Junior Hockey League's Top 20 Rankings. The Terriers moved up from 13 to number seven this week. The Pistons, who suffered their first loss of the season last Friday, dropped from two to number nine. The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's Battlefords North Stars replaced the Ontario Junior Hockey League's Collingwood Blues as the number one nationally ranked team.

Sports Update - Thursday, October 6th

The Portage Collegiate Saints volleyball team showed their resilience last night in their home opener. The girls defeated the Sturgeon Heights Huskies in three sets to improve their record to 2-1 so far this season.

 

The 2-2 PCI Trojans Football team is off to Winnipeg for a 4 p.m. game today. The team is coming off a 21-7 home field victory last week and will face the 1-3 Sisler Spartans.
