The Morden Police remain vigilant as two warrants for arrest have been issued through the courts in Morden, says Chief Brad Neduzak of the Morden Police Service.  

The first warrant 

The first one, issued on June 4th, concerns Jason Unrau, an individual whom the police chief says is originally from Saskatchewan.  

Recently, a group of 4-H members had the opportunity to try their hand at preparing a traditional Mennonite meal, constructing birdhouses, and touring the grounds of the Pembina Threshermen’s Museum in a 4-H rally.  

The excursion, which involved young people from Winkler, Morden, and Roland, was organized by former 4-H Leader Carrie Hennan.  

Morden's Many Hands Resource Centre (MHRC) was able to hire a community inclusion assistant to help better serve the growing number of Muslim clients in the community, courtesy of Food Banks Canada.  

"The idea came from what we were seeing on the ground," remarked Executive Director Mariyam Tsygankova.

Bill L. Rempel, 95, of Steinbach formerly of Rosenort, passed away Tuesday, June 17th at Maplewood Manor. He is survived by 3 daughters, 7 sons, and their families. He was predeceased by his wife Janet and 1 daughter. 
The funeral service for Bill L. Rempel will be held Monday, June 23rd at 11am at Rosenort Church of God in Christ, Mennonite with burial at the church cemetery.

Funeral Date: June 23, 2025 
Yadwiga Nadia Dyck, 92, of Steinbach passed away Thursday, June 12th at Rest Haven Care Home. She is survived by 3 daughters, 1 son, 8 grandchildren, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 3 sisters-in-law, 4 brothers-in-law, and their families.  
The funeral service for Yadwiga Nadia Dyck will be held Monday, June 23rd at 11am at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with burial at Grunthal Cemetery. 
Viewing will be at the chapel prior to the service.

Canada's Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Heath MacDonald and Saskatchewan Agriculture Minister Daryl Harrison today announced $3.4 million over four years to support the development of two new facilities at the University of Saskatchewan (USask) which includes the Omics Resource Centre at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) and Beef Reprotech facilities at the Livestock and Forage Centre of Excellence (LFCE).
