'I just felt The Holy Spirit nudging me to sing': New EP from local artist

Chinenye originally from Nigeria now calls Winnipeg home. 

Recently releasing her EP, Love's Embrace, she hopes that it brings encouragement to those who might need it. 

"'Fight for Me,' came from a place where I was waiting on The Lord and He gave me this verse. It's in the book of Psalms. If God can calm the raging seas, He also calms the storms in me. That's the lyrics to the song. And we're hoping that more people listen to it to know that there's nothing God cannot do."

Christmas from The Color

Christmas came early from The Color, releasing two new Christmas songs on Wednesday. 

’This Christmas’ and ‘This Christmas (Festive Version)’ feature Winnipegger, Chelsea Melissa, and fans are already excited to hear the new songs.

"Just downloaded on Spotify," one fan commented on Facebook.

'The album has a really beautiful, cinematic feel to it': Mike Janzen's new album officially out

Manitoba-raised artist, Mike Janzen, has released his third album of Psalm interpretations, Songs From The Canyon.

"After a couple years of hard work, a ton of great musicians, and a never-quit producer, Tim Abraham, Songs from the Canyon (Psalms Vol. III) is officially out!!! The album has a really beautiful, cinematic feel to it and I'm really thrilled with the production," Mike Janzen shared in a social media post.

A friend from years ago inspired a Portage la Prairie author's newest book.

Terrie Todd's eighth release, April's Promise, follows the story of three sisters: Emmaleen; Bernadette; and April. 

"The youngest learns she is actually the biological daughter of the oldest and the secret has been kept for years. The rest of the book is the unfolding of how this secret comes out," Todd says of her latest book. 

The New Soul Music: WMC Bares its Slavic Soul with Cello Recital

This Sunday October 22nd at 2:00pm the Women’s Musical Club of Winnipeg (WMC) will be presenting a concert called “The Slavic Soul.” The Concert takes place at CMU’s Laudamus Auditorium and will feature two musicians that are very familiar to Winnipeg Audiences, cellist Paul Marleyn and Madeline Hildebrand.  

Prairie rapper goes from drugs and crime to glorifying God

A former Winnipegger who was caught up in drugs and "street life" is now rapping about Jesus and hoping to bring the Kindom of God to people through music.

D'Arcy Pachkowski, known by his stage name of Servant, grew up in a Christian home, attending church with his family.

"You know, I went through all the kinds of things that a young Catholic boy would do. I went through altar serving and communion and confession and all these different types of things, but ... getting into my teenage years I started to drift away a little bit."
