Former Lions Junior Band Hall being sold by the city

What was once known as the Moose Jaw Lions Junior Band Hall is being sold by the city. 

On Monday night, Moose Jaw City Council approved the sale of the property at 441 Fairford St. W. to R.L. McLauchlan Holdings Ltd. for a price tag of $241,050. The sale passed city council unanimously. 

Director of Community Service Derek Blais explained that the building was put up for sale through a tendering process.

I've been married to my wife, Tenille, for 23 years. We have three children, aged 17,15 and 12. We moved to Moose Jaw in 2005, and I practiced law with Chow McLeod for 18 years until I began serving in this role. 

During that time, I spent two terms on the Prairie South School Board from 2012 to 2020, and I chaired the board for two or three years during that period. 

One Liberal MP says he's signed letter asking Trudeau to resign, others remain mum

Research on Manitoba Wheat Crop could benefit all prairie farmers

Farmers in Manitoba are being called upon to aid critical research aimed at improving wheat production amid changing climate conditions. 

The University of Manitoba's "Mani Wheat Project," led by Dr. Cristina Rosell’s food science group, is gathering wheat samples from farmers to study the effects of pre-harvest sprouting, a significant issue caused by excessive rain and humidity before harvest.

Patricia Mary Reid

Patricia Mary Reid aged 78 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16th, 2024, at Providence Place with her family by her side. 

Patricia was born on April 7th, 1946, in Regina Saskatchewan to John and Anna MacDonald.  She was the youngest of 5 siblings.  Growing up in Regina she was an active child who loved animals, horseback riding, and ice skating with friends in the winter.

The Moose Jaw Health Foundation wrapped up its 33rd annual Festival of Trees over the weekend, transforming the Moose Jaw Events Centre Curling Rink into Saskatchewan’s ‘largest speakeasy’ to raise a total of $184,832 through ticket sales, sponsorships, and live and silent auctions.
